Vestas has completed the installation of its first commercial V172-7.2 MW wind turbine in Salzkotten, Germany. The turbine was delivered and installed on schedule and has a hub height of 175 metres.
The model has already received several certifications, including a Provisional Type Certificate. Vestas worked with LSF Energy to carry out the installation for the Salzkotten project.
