Spie Wind Connect has secured a contract with Van Oord for work on the Windanker offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea. The project involves the termination and testing of 21 inter-array cables (66kV) connecting the wind turbines to the offshore substation.
Work is set to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025 and is expected to conclude by the second quarter of 2026. The final phase will involve completing the cable connections between the wind turbine generators and the substation. Windanker, with a planned capacity of 315 MW, is scheduled to become fully operational in 2026.
