BW Ideol has confirmed that its Fos3F project, a planned production line for concrete floating wind foundations in Fos-sur-Mer, has been selected for support under the EU Innovation Fund. The facility will manufacture serial concrete substructures using the company’s Damping Pool design for future floating wind projects in the Mediterranean and beyond.
The Fos3F project was one of 61 selected from 359 applications in the latest funding round and falls under the Cleantech Manufacturing category, which supports renewable energy component production. The award grants BW Ideol up to € 74 million, subject to completion of the grant agreement process with the European Commission, expected in the first half of 2026.
