Wind capacity additions outpace natural gas in USA as solar leads new power build

Wind energy capacity additions in the USA exceeded those of natural gas during the first ten months of 2025, according to a review of data released by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and analysed by the Sun Day Campaign. Between January and October, new wind projects added 4,746 MW of capacity, a 55% increase compared with the same period a year earlier. Wind accounted for 15.2% of all new generating capacity brought online during the period, exceeding natural gas additions of 3,896 MW.
OnPath Energy completes sale of seven English onshore wind farms to ERG

OnPath Energy has completed the sale of seven onshore wind farms in England to ERG. The sites are Armistead near Kendal, Heysham South near Lancaster, Lambs Hill near Stockton-on-Tees, Hook Moor near Leeds, Marr near Doncaster, Penny Hill near Rotherham and Hazlehead near Barnsley. All seven projects are eligible for the UK Renewable Obligation support scheme.

Nabrawind will supply 17 Nabralift HH188 towers for the Nullagine Wind Project, which is being developed by Fortescue in Western Australia. The 133 MW onshore wind project is planned for the Pilbara region and will comprise 17 Envision wind turbines.
Trianel restructures management of Borkum offshore wind companies

Iver acquires ENO Energy service activities in Germany

Iver has completed the acquisition of the service and maintenance activities of ENO Energy Systems, a subsidiary of turbine manufacturer ENO Energy, in Germany. The transaction adds around 60 employees to Iver and expands its service teams and locations. The acquisition also includes access to a fully operational remote control centre.
Permit process set out for IJmuiden Ver Gamma-A offshore wind site
