Venterra Group has launched the V-LiDAR, a fleet of dual LiDAR buoys developed for offshore wind measurement. The buoys were developed by Partrac and built by Osbit, a Venterra company, at its new facility in the Port of Blyth.
The project, completed over two years, brings together expertise from several Venterra companies to improve the accuracy and reliability of offshore wind data collection. The V-LiDAR units are designed to deliver long-term wind resource data for offshore wind projects, supporting project assessment, permitting, and financing processes. The fleet will be used to support wind developers in Europe, Asia, and North America.
