Natural Power has supported RWE in securing planning consent for the Alwen Forest Wind Farm and its grid connection. The project, located within the boundaries of Conwy County Borough Council and Denbighshire County Council, will have a capacity of up to 60 MW and comprise as many as nine turbines with a tip height of up to 200 metres, together with battery storage.

Natural Power led the environmental impact assessment coordination for the Development of National Significance project, beginning with the scoping submission in 2018 through to the application to Planning and Environment Decisions Wales and post-submission support. The company will continue to assist RWE as the project moves towards final investment decision and construction, including discharging planning conditions for site investigation work to accelerate deployment.
