Gjenkraft AS has raised NOK 60 million to launch commercial operations at its first industrial wind turbine blade recycling plant in Høyanger, Norway, with an annual capacity of 2,800 tonnes.

The first steel cut at the Heerema Fabrication Group shipyard in Vlissingen marks the start of construction of the jacket for the IJmuiden Ver Beta offshore platform. Heerema Fabrication Group is building the jacket as one of three structures for TenneT’s 2 GW programme, on behalf of the Seatrium and GE Vernova consortium.
Wind development slows as US clean power growth stalls

The American Clean Power Association (ACP) reported that US developers installed more than 11 GW of new solar, wind, and storage capacity in Q2 2025, lifting total operating clean power to over 332 GW. Growth was less than 1% compared with Q2 2024, and the project pipeline barely expanded, increasing by only 100 MW to 184.5 GW.
Federal filing challenges approval of Avangrid’s New England Wind project

The US government has moved to revoke federal approval for Avangrid’s planned New England Wind offshore project off the coast of Massachusetts. In a filing submitted this week to the US District Court for the District of Columbia, the Department of Justice, representing the Department of the Interior and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), said it intends to vacate BOEM’s approval of the project’s Construction and Operations Plan (COP) by 10 October 2025.
Vestas takes over Goleniów blade factory in Poland from LM Wind Power

Vestas has assumed operations at the onshore blade factory in Goleniów near Szczecin, Poland, previously owned by LM Wind Power, a GE Vernova company. The takeover follows an agreement signed on 15 May 2025 and the completion of regulatory approvals.
Revolution Wind to file preliminary injunction against stop work order

Revolution Wind, a joint venture between Ørsted and a consortium led by Skyborn Renewables, has filed a complaint in the US District Court for the District of Columbia challenging the stop-work order issued by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM). The filing will be followed by a request for a preliminary injunction.
Ørsted adjusts 2025 EBITDA guidance

Ørsted has revised its full-year 2025 EBITDA guidance, excluding new partnerships and cancellation fees, to between DKK 24 billion and DKK 27 billion. The previous range was DKK 25 billion to DKK 28 billion. Gross investment guidance of DKK 50 billion to DKK 54 billion remains unchanged.

Ocean Winds completes turbine installation at EFGL floating wind project in France

Ocean Winds (OW), the offshore wind company formed by EDP Renewables and ENGIE, has completed installation of the third and final turbine at the Éoliennes Flottantes du Golfe du Lion (EFGL) project. Developed with Banque des Territoires, EFGL is the first floating offshore wind farm in the Occitanie region to finish turbine installation.
Jeollanam-do delegation visits Port of Bilbao to explore offshore wind cooperation

A delegation from the Provincial Government of Jeollanam-do, South Korea, has visited the Port of Bilbao to learn about its initiatives in energy transition, offshore wind, hydrogen and synthetic fuels. The group was welcomed by Andima Ormaetxe, Director of Operations, Commerce and Logistics of the Bilbao Port Authority, who presented projects such as BilbOPS, which will supply renewable shore power to vessels from 2027 with support from the Connecting Europe Facility, the European Investment Bank and the Port Authority.
