Ports de Normandie will hold a public consultation from Thursday 5 June to Friday 11 July 2025 to present and discuss a strategic infrastructure project: the construction of a new heavy-duty quay in the port of Cherbourg, known as Flamands Zero (FL0). The project aims to strengthen the port’s position as a key player in marine renewable energy, particularly fixed-bottom and floating offshore wind.

Suzlon reports full-year and fourth-quarter results for financial year 2025

Suzlon Group has reported its consolidated financial results for the fourth quarter and the full year ending in FY25. In the fourth quarter of FY25, the company achieved net volumes of 573 MW, an increase compared to 273 MW in the same quarter of the previous year and 447 MW in the third quarter of FY25.
OX2 appoints Michal Michalski as Executive Vice President for Southern, Eastern and Central Europe

OX2 has appointed Michal Michalski as Executive Vice President for Southern, Eastern and Central Europe. He will assume the role on 2 June. Michalski was most recently Chief Executive Officer of Polenergia, a renewable energy company and integrated private energy group in Poland.
Brookfield rebrands National Grid Renewables as Geronimo Power

Following the previously announced acquisition of National Grid Renewables by Brookfield Asset Management and its institutional partners, the company will now operate under the name Geronimo Power. The rebranding marks a return to the company’s original identity, established in 2007 under the Geronimo name.
Vestas receives two new wind turbine orders in Italy in second quarter

Vestas has confirmed two wind turbine orders in Italy as part of its order intake for the second quarter of 2025. The first order, placed by an undisclosed customer, covers a total capacity of 32 MW and includes five V162-6.4 MW turbines. The project is supported by a 25-year service agreement. Turbine delivery is planned for the final quarter of 2025, with commissioning expected in the third quarter of 2026.
Victor Castro appointed CEO of Brüel & Kjær Vibro

Brüel & Kjær Vibro has appointed Victor Castro as its new Chief Executive Officer. Castro, who will be based at the company’s headquarters in Darmstadt, Germany, joined Brüel & Kjær Vibro in 2023 as Chief Financial Officer.
USA clean power sector adds 7.4 GW in Q1 2025

The American Clean Power Association has released its Q1 2025 Clean Power Quarterly Market Report, highlighting sustained private sector investment in utility-scale wind, solar and battery storage. Developers installed 7.4 GW of new capacity during the quarter, making it the second-strongest first quarter on record for the USA.
CIP and PensionDanmark establish Plexar Energy to develop microgrid projects

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and Danish pension fund PensionDanmark have launched Plexar Energy, a company that will develop, install and operate microgrids powered by renewable energy sources. Plexar Energy aims to standardise and deliver end-to-end, on-site microgrid solutions that integrate with the local electricity grid. The company will focus on developing commercial-scale microgrid systems that enhance energy independence, mitigate electricity price volatility, and provide additional grid capacity to support electrification.
