Vattenfall has named David Flood as Head of its Business Unit Offshore Wind, effective 2 March 2026. He joins from Statkraft, where he led the company’s offshore wind operations. Flood has 20 years’ experience in the fossil-free energy sector, covering offshore and onshore wind, solar, hydropower and grid services.

Vestas is set to reduce its global office-based workforce by 900 positions, with the process expected to conclude by the end of 2025. The reductions will come through a combination of natural attrition, redundancies, and the release of third-party consultants, with approximately 190 roles affected in Denmark.

Seatrium has released its business update for the third quarter of 2025. In the offshore wind segment, Seatrium completed and handed over the Wind Turbine Installation Vessel Charybdis to Dominion Energy and the High Voltage Alternating Current (HVAC) Offshore Substation for Ørsted’s Greater Changhua 2b and 4 project.

Based near Belfast, Northern Ireland, Terry Devine has a background in business development in the renewable energy sector and experience working with OEMs and project developers. He previously held a business development position at Access Rescue Consulting at Height.

Enercon and logistics partner Rhenus have used the new push barge Rhenus Berlin I for the first time to transport wind turbine components via inland waterways. Steel tower sections for Enercon E-138 EP3 and E-115 EP3 turbines were loaded onto the 100-metre-long vessel at the Port of Emden and transported by water to the project area.
