EDF power solutions Canada and Énergie Renouvelable Granit have reached financial close for the Haute-Chaudière wind project in Québec. The project has an installed capacity of 124 MW and is located in the Regional County Municipality of Granit.
Non-recourse construction and term financing has been secured through a consortium of lenders comprising National Bank of Canada, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Desjardins Group, KfW IPEX-Bank and Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, New York Branch. Construction of the wind farm began in November 2025 and is expected to generate more than 150 jobs during the build phase. Commissioning of the project is planned for early 2027. The project includes a commitment to working with local companies and suppliers. This approach is intended to support regional economic activity and contribute to longer-term benefits for the surrounding communities.
