Vattenfall has taken the final investment decision to build the Clashindarroch II onshore wind farm near Huntly, Aberdeenshire, adjacent to the company’s existing Clashindarroch project, which has been operating for a decade.
The new development will consist of 14 turbines with a capacity of up to 63MW. Preparatory works are scheduled to start in autumn 2025, with main construction beginning in spring 2026. First power is expected in summer 2027.
